Go Team Durham at the Regional Blueprint Competition 2013

Woop! .. Pleased to announce that as well as the award for Most Creative Business TopHat Teacakes also picked up the award for overall winner of the Regional Blueprint Competition 2013.

 

 

Second were the lovely Choclateas girls from Northumbria University and the highly commended prize went to the my fellow Durham student Lizzie Bailey for her amazing Social enterprise LookPositive.

Here are a few pics from BBC Newcastle's Jonathan Miles' trip to Durham Markets to meet Durham Blueprint finalist 2013 Casey Lam from TopHat Teacakes, sampling her high-quality marshmallow teacakes which she makes using entirely British-sourced ingredients. Casey was in the Market promoting Durham Markets' upcoming Youth Market on Sunday May 19th - an excellent opportunity for young people to test their entrepreneurial skills and new products on the public.
